Fall hiking in Fernie
As the autumn leaves begin to change colour and we find the occasional snow dusting on our mountaintops, we enter one of the best times of the year to visit Fernie. Fly fishing conditions on the Elk River are fantastic in September and those looking to play a round of golf can book a tee-time at the Fernie Golf & Country Club right through until Thanksgiving weekend on October 12th, 2015. In addition, many of the Fernie hiking trails are in excellent condition and the milder fall temperatures mean that autumn is an ideal time to explore one of the high alpine hikes around Fernie.
