Earlier this season, one of our repeat customers, Don W, from Eastern Canada, shared some wonderful photos from his ski trip to Fernie which we thought deserved to be shared with the rest of our Griz Inn on-line community.

This was my second winter ski vacation at the Griz Inn Sport. After spending a week in 2016, I rented a one-bedroom condo for two weeks in February 2017. I like the Griz for several reasons. It’s a real ski-in-ski-out, with trails and lifts at its doorstep. Inside, the Rusty Edge is a great watering hole with a wide variety of local ales on tap, excellent fair, fieldstone fireplace and wonderful views of the ski hill and the Rockies. The bar service is friendly, not pushy in any way. Big TVs for sports, a pool table and other games. The ski shop saved my vacation by providing me with the right ski for the Kootenay powder, which dumped in abundance while we were there. The front desk service (thanks Lauren and Evelina) was helpful with all requests. The condo felt a little small but it had just been completely redone. It was well appointed with enough closet and drawer space for all our gear. It faced the mountain and had a Murphy bed (instead of a pullout). I did not use the swimming pool. I’d go back to the Griz.
