The 9th Annual Tranrockies Race started this weekend in Fernie BC. Racers were full of smiles after they completed the challenging and slick Day 1 Time Trials course. Bigger smiles prevailed on Day 2 as racers departed under clear sunny skies on their way to ride the new Porky Blue trail en route to Sparwood. Good luck racers!

A mysterious bright orange object appeared in the sky today. Some say it may have been the mysterious "Mr. Sun" who had been in hiding for most of the month of May. If indeed it was him, lets hope he makes many more appearances over the next few months.

Fernie Alpine Resort wrapped up it's 2009-2010 ski season on April 18th with its Fernival Party. The weekend featured live entertainment by Ashley McIsaac and some fantastic spring conditions.
